Hello everyone

We are quite concerned about what has been going on in England the last couple of days. So we decided to take action and join a movement that doesn’t involve too much running about.

Operation Cup of Tea only asks of you to stay inside and drink tea instead of going out and do silly stuff like looting or breaking into hairdressers (non of us likes getting a haircut, but that’s just overdoing it).

So hopefully tonight, everyone stays in and has a friendly cup of tea (with milk) and calms down a bit.

And why not treat yourself, have a biscuit as well :-)

Extreme Stunt Jumping

I think the heat is getting to my Uncle…

Pip and I were a bit suspicious when he offered us to take part in an Extreme Stunt Jumping Show. We probably should have listened more carefully but he distracted us with ice-cream cookies.

Therefore I don’t think we can be blamed that we ended up in a hat fearing for our life!

Let’s hope the weather (and my Uncle’s jumping obsession) cools down soon…

With future battles in the sky in mind (now that the Land of the bed is building they’re own aircraft) I spent today prepping my trusty little plane.

Unfortunately I went a bit far during the test flight and realized mid Immelmann turn that I wasn’t properly strapped in…

Lucky for me my Uncle always watches when I take to the sky he just managed to jump to the rescue!

I’m quite happy that all his jumping practice finally did some good!

The weather was so beautiful today that my Uncle demanded to go outside and jump. He has become an addicted jumper since last weekend so I hopped along to see how high he could go.

It was quite impressive, but I knew I could jump higher and I did :-)

The tennis ball in the picture was dropped by my Uncle out of perspective reasons apparently, but I think he was just so impressed by my jumping that he just let it fall :-)

Today is the 30th Birthday of the universally beloved pc-game Pac-Man. What not many people know is that the original game was called Pac-Sheep and featured a fearless Ninja-Sheep that hoped through the maze slicing potatoes.

However, because of a bug in the game... the ghosts kept running away from the brave ninja sheep it was therefore deemed too easy to finish and the ninja-sheep was replaced with a harmless and slightly dim-witted yellow dot-thingy.

Why it still became such a huge success without its sheepy hero, is for historian to ponder about :-)

For out last CopySheep Sunday (for the time being) my Uncle and I wanted to pay homage to the photo stream we admire the mostest in all of flickr.

The Fox and the Polar Bear are a beacon of splendiority ever since they first started uploading pictures.

Since no one could even attempt to copy the one of a kind Mrs PB (and her kind carer Mrs Emily), my Uncle and I decided to copy this picture of the Fox and his Master eating chocolate cake (and for obvious reasons as well as we felt slightly peckish hehe).

While my Uncle is far from being as brilliant as Mr Fox and not even I and Pip put together eat as much chocolate as Mr Tom, we still hope they like this little homage :-)

If you have never visited they’re stream, do yourself a favour and do so immediately. A world of joy will await you.

Day 362 - The Maltese Shaun

Today my Uncle and I felt like watching one of our favourite movies and definitely our favourite film noir of all time The Maltese Falcon. It is one of the best films ever despite it’s lack of sheep. We love everything about it, especially Peter Lorre and Sidney Greenstreet as Joel Cairo and Kaspar Gutman, they are brilliant and always make us laugh.

To honour this great film my Uncle dressed up in a fancy suit and tried to look slightly cool. He’s no Mr Bogart, but he tried :-)

I played the Maltese Falcon. I’m sure had they decided to make the movie about a Maltese Sheep it would have won the Oscar.

If you have never seen it, you should, you won’t be disappointed. It’s the stuff that dreams are made of ;-)

Imagine my shock when I went to my secret cookie stash and found it empty! Devoid of any cookies, not even crumbs were left there by the evil thief. When I let out a loud “baaah” of despair, I heard the door slam. I went to investigate and it looked like my uncle had done a runner!

He must have been the cookie thief!!!

Ha! He probably thought that he could outrun me but he forgot that I’m flying sheep now. I hopped into my plane and started circling the neighbourhood. I quickly found him trying to hide in a cornfield, foolishly I might say since the corn hadn’t really grown yet.

He had no chance, I nosedived behind him and chased him all over the place until he gave up and apologized for his theft with promises to restore the cookie stash to it’s former glory.

I had to edit the music a bit and make the secenes a bit shorter so it would be just under 1 minute 30 seconds. The Studios always want to make the movies shorter :-)

Day 228 - Whistler's Sheep

The Story behind Whistler's Sheep (1871) is quite a sad one. Whistler painted his sheep while it was wrapped in a comfy blanket and taking a little rest after a day full of adventures in London, where they were on holiday. They planed on submitting the picture to the Exhibition of Royal Academy of Art and become famous.

When his mother saw the painting she was jealous and refused to ever cook spaghetti again if Whistler didn`t paint her in the exact same way.

Driven by his hunger for the yummy noodles, Whistler gave in, painted his Mother and submitted the new version to the Exhibition.

Whistler's sheep never forgave him for this betrayal and left, after hitting him over the head with some stout brush sticks, taking the original painting with it.

Whistler's Mother went on tell some lie about having sat in for the painting after the original model didn`t show up. Her spaghetti never tasted the same again to Whistler, who dearly missed his friend.

“Whistler's Sheep” meanwhile disappeared, never to be seen again until it´s recent discovery in an attic by a certain sheep on a cookie search.

Day 226 - The Son of Sheep vs. Vegetable Man

It is not quite clear why the painting “The Son of Sheep vs. Vegetable Man” was never on display. Painted in 1964 by Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte, it is belived (although none of this can be proved) to have been commissioned by a Mrs Ours Polair, patron of the arts and leader of the resistance against vegetables. The payment was to be made in the local currency of that time in Belgium: Beans.

When Magritte wanted to deliver the painting it turned out that Mrs Ours Polair had eaten the beans. Angry about this Magritte threw the masterpiece away and painted a new version, leaving the vegetable attacking sheep completely out of it and therefore rendering the whole painting absolutely pointless. But since being pointless was indeed the point of a surrealist painter, it was hailed as a masterpiece simply because no one could understand it.

Magritte knowing the real story of his success, felt bad and spent the rest of his life not painting pipes and eating Belgian truffles.

“The Son of Sheep vs. Vegetable Man” meanwhile disappeared, never to be seen again until it´s recent discovery in an attic by a certain sheep on a cookie search.

Sheep Remedy

My poor Uncle is still feeling ill, he even refused chocolate.. That could only mean it’s really serious. The drugs didn’t work so in my widsom I resorted to an old Sheep remedy:

Vinegar Socks.

You only need some vingar and some socks or even some bandages will do. Then you drench them in the vinegar and make your patient wear them. This will then take away the fever.

The downside to this treatment is of course the horrible smell; and it gets even worse once you apply the vinegar hehe. So I was clever and just held my breath, applied the bandages and then gave my Uncle a bottle of vinegar and ran away.

I’m sure he’ll be cured in no time!
