It's still dark and rainy, and now foggy too... But I really wanted to take pictures today... This was taken from my back porch.
I was outside taking these photos in bare feet today. Not a good idea. I feel a cold coming on already! But all of my socks are in the washing machine and I hate wearing shoes in bare feet.
I did go downstairs to see if my socks were finished yet... And Lola (a tiny Havanese puppy we are looking after over the holidays) saw my older brother's underwear by the laundry machine, grabbed it, and ran. It took me forever to catch her and get the underwear back! I was laughing so hard. Just don't tell my brother, he hates dogs (and I doubt he'll be keen to know that there's puppy slobber in his underwear).

Sparky took me for a walk last night at sunset... And when we got to the field on the hillside, I was struck hard by how gorgeous everything was. At that moment, I truly loved life. We both stayed there for 45 minutes until the sun disappeared. Sparky (after making rounds of his territory and scaring off an intruder squirrel) lay down in the grass for a nap, and I got out the camera for this shot, and then relaxed in the field with Sparky. A giant beetle kept on trying to crawl over my foot, but I didn't mind.

This is by far my most favorite self-portrait I've taken yet. :)
