The Hong Kong Island skyline is one of the most spectacular cityscapes in the world. New York may boast more skyscrapers but Hong Kong's are more compact and dramatic when viewed from from across the water in Kowloon, over Victoria Harbour. Every night at 8pm there is light show called 'Symphony of light' which is free to the public. The best viewing locations are along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront between the Avenue of Stars and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the promenade at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wanchai, and from sightseeing ferries in the Victoria Harbour.

We saw a bit of the "Symphony of Lights" from out hotel window. It is a synchronised building exterior decorative light and laser multimedia display, featuring 44 buildings on both sides of the Victoria Harbour of Hong Kong accompanied by music. It's on every eve, at 8PM

Revealed in August 2007, the 11,500 glass pixel array in 72 different, randomly placed colours follows the temporary clear glass window installed in Cologne cathedral after World War II.
I am an admirer of much of Richter's work but I do have trouble figuring out where this sits along the mythology-reality spectrum.

We took the harbour cruise aboard the Aqua Luna, a Chinese Junk. Everybody had a complimentary drink, and individual seating providing great viewing.
