maorlando God kept us 2012 leaning on Him 2013 posted a photo:

Meet Dawn, Stranger #6, of my second set of 100 Strangers on Flickr. Dawn is a
Texas State Staff Forester (See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forester ) stationed at the
W.G. Jones Texas State Forest in Conroe, Texas
(See: texasforestservice.tamu.edu/main/article.aspx?id=1790 ).
Working in the Forest Resource Development & Sustainable Forestry division where
she helps people in managing their forests or the trees on one's property. But she
also helped with the disasterous wildfires last year by driving a bulldozer helping to
bring them under control being unaware at the time that she was pregnant but now
she is very aware and doing great... with a precious baby boy due soon. Foresters are
put in charge of wildfires here in Texas so when one breaks out Dawn is part of the team
that fights to bring it under control & put it out!! Her job description is to help you learn how
to better manage your family forest, attract more wildlife to your property and protect your
home and property from wildfire. You can get tips for landscaping your yard and installing
a rainwater collection system. You can find out the best methods for restoring native grasses
and managing brush on your plot of land. You can even pick up some pointers when it comes
to bird watching and nature photography. I met Dawn yesterday as she told a group of young
Girl Scouts about the endangered Red-cockaded Woodpecker found at W.G. Jones State Forest.
She showed a video of the bird and it's nest hole and the young inside. This bird has alot of
special requirements to survive and they are working hard to meet those and keep this bird
around the W.G. Jones Forest of 1700 acres. The scouts loved her presentation as
she let them participate and ask many questions. She was patient, informative, and
very knowledgeable about her subject. I enjoyed so much her interesting talk and
her kind spirit... thank you so much Dawn for allowing me to make you one of my
100 Strangers on Flickr. May God bless you and your precious baby boy!!!
