Ajaccio in Corsica – truly beautiful city. Last full stop on the cruse before returning to Genoa. I took my gear and of I went. Definitely less crazy than some of the Italian cities. The entire city was very nice and full of monuments and and reminders of the most famous son of the city Napoleon Bonaparte.
If I would grown in that city I possibly would be very mellow and the last thing would be
“ Mother , I'm bored , can I start a war
Sure Leo , but just don't go too far “

Poland always was on the side of Napoleon but I think that he was always pissed off at something , I wonder if he went shopping . With a little visit to local Spare ( supermarket ) and looking at the prices … I was pissed but I let the reason talk and I didn't start the war.
Corsica was expensive

Used HDR in this shot to sharpen the lines of shadows and light. I was going for a shot that was enhanced but did not like a typcal hdr.

Shot from a D90 with 18-200mm VR II Lens. Took three exposures at highest f-stop, 8 sec, 2.5 sec, 0.769 sec. HDR'd on Photomatix Pro and attempted the "Lightroom Dave Hill Effect" Turned out pretty cool i thought.

A slice of paradise at the top of the Wairere falls

This was taken at the top of the Wairere falls, a beautiful 3 hour return walk. I planned a 90 minute return walk to the lower look out, instead I took the wrong turn and ended up on the summit ;-)

When I arrived there I was just blown away from the beauty of the place. I certainly wondered about the amount of water on the top of a mountain ;-)

This is an HDR shot at f/11 ISO-80 1/4s base image, 2s for the dark bits, 1/20s for the bright as background ;-) I actually removed the 1/20s layer after I applied Hard light and vibrance, so the ghosting (from the strong wind) faded nicely out and the background is still not so overexposed.

Wairere Falls is a gorgeous 153m waterfall that plunges in two tiers within the Kaimai-Mamaku Ranges

According to the www.maoridictionary.co.nz., Wairere actually stands for waterfall ;-)
