Great Basin National Park has some of
the darkest night skies in the park system, but light pollution from growing regional population centers and the potential of more air pollution from proposed development nearby threatens this resource.

Lehman Creek high flow_USGS

Lehman Creek earned a Class A designation from the State of Nevada due to its excellent water quality. If nearby groundwater withdrawals cause
decreases in water flows in park streams and springs, Great Basin's biological systems and geological caves could be greatly affected.
