As it is with wood ants so it is with guillemots - I can't resist a quick snap. The auks respect different boundaries however.

Isle of May trip was great today. As with most things in British wildlife just now Spring has sprung a little late, so there weren't that many birds about, but fortunately there were a few Puffins about (as well as Shags, Fulmars, Guillemots, Kittiwakes, Razorbills and a load of Gulls). With the island quiet we left a little earlier and spent half an hour under the cliffs of the Bass Rock instead - damned pleased with manually focussed shots from a rocking boat of flying Gannets...
