November and January have these really particular orange sunsets. I'm not sure what it is that makes them distinctive, but I like it.

MyPublisher would rather pay to ship 70 pounds of my photo book to them to destroy than allow me to keep the extra copies they sent

Boxing up 40 of my books (from my successful Kickstarter) to send back to MyPublisher so they can destroy them (they sent me and charged me for a double order). I hoped they might be nice and let me keep them or just send back the covers, but no such luck (they even stopped responding to email). Sending 70 lbs of books across the country (on MyPublisher's FedEx account, thankfully) just so they can be pulped? Lame. Also lame: the "48 business hours" MyPublisher takes to respond to customer service emails.

Over the past ten years, I've photographed every town in North Dakota, plus many places in eastern Washington, and some in Montana, Saskatchewan, and Minnesota too. Now I've successfully funded a Kickstarter to sell 2 different photo books and some other fun stuff, all to help fund a new project focusing on some of the smallest places in the west.
