Winter this year rolled in with quite a shock. Rain, rain and yes, more rain accompanied by bitter cold had us wondering when we would need to dig out the snow shovels. Went to the train station to meet family and this jumped out at me. A quick snapshot using the dynamic B&W mode of my new panasonic LX3. Love this camera!

Fall in Florida is short at best and this year was no exception. We had a severe cold snap the week after Christmas and had one day where it wasnt't raining constantly. On my morning walk I was rewarded for my efforts. Amazing how the sight of a lovely blaze of Autumn orange instantly transports me back to the New England of my youth. Thank you Mother Nature, I am grateful for that glorious day. :)

Copics Color My World

I made the switch from prismacolors to copics and will never go back. I absolutely love the brush nib of the sketch series and the copic ink blends so well. I recently decided to start sketching and doodling again after a decade hiatus and the copics make it so easy to produce great color. I chose all the colors individually as the 72 set had quite a few I would rarely use and not enough of the colors that I wanted. Yay!

Without a single doubt I have finally found the perfect notebook. A spirited sale of my MBP 15" on ebay and I was able to buy this one, a 500gb HD and put a little bit of cash in my pocket.

This thing flies and is so much more portable than my last MBP. I am truly in love...

While I normally don't think of Florida as having a great fall showing, this year seemed to produce just the right amount of crisp days and lack of rain to give us a touch of color. This was taken Thanksgiving day morning.

3g Speed Test

Oops! Didn't realize that even though I choose 3G it still used my Wi-Fi connecton for the speed test.

10 times faster than edge with Wi-Fi 29 times faster than edge. Still pretty impressive.

Autumn is my Heart

Without any doubt at all, Autumn is my favorite season. As a New England transplant my heart aches for the crisp air and explosion of color that personifies Fall.

I put this together in a few minutes with the help of Wordle and some leaves drawn by Susan Branch. I have several of her books and they are all beautifully hand lettered and illustrated. Take a look at her site here.

Well I drank the poison and I like it! It took a little bit of a work around to get my work email but I am finally able to get email from all five of my email accounts. I really love this thing; RSS feeds, Ebooks, Streaming Music, Videos and a million other things really make this thing the shiznit.

Now if I can only pry it away from my wife playing Wurdle! =)

How I love the fall and this year is no exception. We have this wonderful tree in the backyard that has these beautiful blooms twice a year. Sadly, they only last for about a week and we have had overcast weather for a few days. Tonight I was greeted by a beautiful cool fall day and saw this.

My neighbor says they are called "Rain trees". Wish I knew for sure what it is.
