Aidan hiked 2 miles to see the cheaha falls - to pay us back he jumped into to water and made his Mother carry him most of the way back :~)

1 lb - beef stewmeat / Sausage / potato / redbeans / tomato / onion / bell pepper / carrot / garlic / water !

The meat is browned then water, red beans and tomato added to stew 4-6 hours, The onion bell pepper and potato is added and cooks for an hour, galic and carrot are added last. BEST served the day after when re-heated !

Classical mill designs are usually water powered, though some are wind mills, or powered by livestock. A sluice gate is used to open a channel and so start the water flowing and a water wheel turning. In most such mills the water wheel was mounted vertically (i.e. edge-on) in the water, but in some cases horizontally (the tub wheel and so-called Norse wheel). Later designs incorporated horizontal steel or cast iron turbines and these were also sometimes refitted into the old wheel mills.

So this was my Sunday hike in to the Talladega Forest with the Cheaha Falls on a clear Winters day. We started thinking it was a 1/2 mile walk, It was a 1 mile hike to the falls and with 3 grandkids in tow quite an Adventure!
