My first completed crochet project for 2011. I started it last September for a coworker's baby girl. I learned a new stitch - diagonal box stitch. This was a challenge for me, but I loved the texture and look of this stitch. It's going to be hard to let this one go.

Crochet project#2 for 2010. I made this for my younger nephew - started it 3 years ago and couldn't complete it due to the demands of motherhood. I managed to lose it for a little while. It's simple, but soft, and (hopefully) comforting and warm.

Jessie from Toy Story 2

It may look simple, but it took a lot of work to figure out how to make the wig and the cow print and yellow fabric are hand sewn. I have poor sewing skills and no sewing machine, so this was a big deal for me. The boots are a hand-me-down from friends and the hat is the real deal - purchased from Disneyland.

She doesn't know that this is her costume yet. I've mostly worked on it while she was sleeping. I think she's going to love it. Jessie is by far her favorite female Disney character.

It's been a long time since I've completed any kind of crochet projects, but several friends I know are expecting their first child this year, so I dug up the old crochet hook. This is the first project for a very special little boy due in November. I'll probably have another one complete in the next month.

I let security know so they could contact the poor soul who has to figure out what to do with their bumper. I hope this didn't happen in our parking lot.

Lunch at Marcello's. Salmon on mixed greens with gorgonzola, wine-soaked apples, sun-dried tomatoes, onions, tomatoes, cucumber, and a light balsamic vinaigrette.

It's a good thing my morning commute isn't too bad.
