Springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis) under a huge Camel Thorn Tree (Acacia erioloba) in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (Kalahari, Northern Cape, South Africa).

It is astonishing to see how well Springbok survive in the dry season in the Kalahari Desert.

A Sociable Weaver greeted me as I got to the "Kalahari Tented Camp" in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (Northern Cape, South Africa). The car's Windscreen served as a mirror, and the Weaver chatted to its reflection for hours.

Note: The Owl is actually facing the other way, and turning its neck 180° to keep an eye on us.

A sleek Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) moving gracefully through the arid landscape of the Kgalagadi (definitely a "Big Cat" built for speed).

Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) facts:
Top Speed: 120 km/h (75 mph).
Acceleration: 0 to 103 km/h (64 mph) in 3 seconds (faster than most Super Cars).
