Forgive me for being overtly silly. This was a one off chance to shoot a bird that close which was not in my kitchen on the way into the oven. This is not staged and I did not nail the beast to the handrail. Since I wanted to show as much as possible of this bird I had to come up with something. I did not want to use music of any kind.
Considering the perfect state rarely found with city-pigeons I now wonder if it possibly was a carrier pigeon used to humans. WHO OWNS THIS BIRD?
- Today, two days later I zoomed into the vid and was able to read the birds number which is
DV-05357 / 12. It is actually a carrier pigeon of a breeder from Framersheim/Rheinhessen maps.google.de/maps?q=framersheim&hl=de&ll=49.759... a winegrowers village about 25km from Mainz, capital of Rhineland-Palatinate.

At this point of time I worked at London hotels and knew about the new tax, not what I would encounter at the demonstration against it. This day was the first I saw police on horseback riding full speed into demonstrators and I am convinced that most of the ensuiing violence was started by this action. One of the most violent riots I ever shot at.

Due to no demand at all I feel like republishing the sad shot above. It really is part of an upcoming exhibition called "Part Kunstschau" part.pengland.de/img/FLYER_DINA6_FINAL_print.pdf at a former car dealership in Mainz. The following address leads to an example of a grotesquely sad video about the installation of the "show" that, if for nothing else, serves as a brillant example of how NOT to use moving images for advertising. Rules for interesting video:
- Always show face of photographer on at least 30% of the image
- Never pull a focus
- Don´t ever use a tripod
- Do not relay any information, interesting or not
- Make viewers seasick by only displaying wobbly images
- If you care to describe objects rushing by always use the adjective "cool". This is especially important as our own language GERMAN is pathetic and does not offer own appellative terms.
