This is another composition of the crazy limestone formations and sea shelfs off the coast of Robe along the limestone coast. I am looking forward to our upcoming holidays - seems like ages since our last trip to Eyre Peninsula but it has only been 6 months.

This image at the end of the jetty was taken a few minutes before the sky went crazy in the opposite direction and had me running back to my car driving out to the location of the previous shot. It was already fabulous standing here but I'm glad I made that short drive to the obelisk. This image was taken with a 3 stop hard edged GND.

"Step up to the Portal"
This is the scene which I encountered last Sunday morning after rushing up from the jetty. Though I missed the pink rendition of the clouds, this is possibly one of the most striking and unusual skies I've seen anywhere! Also, the first time I've evern seen the phenomenon of 'anti-crepuscular' rays. I thought they were just theoretical but now I know, they are very real. Perhaps the obelisk was a temporary gate to another world ??

ps. this image is slightly different to a FB uploaded image. I really wanted to include the beacon on the right to balance the lighthouse on the left but due to slight motion blur, I've had to remove the last frame of the pano on the right. I think this one has more impact but I would not be offering it as a print due to that issue.

Week 9/52

This last weekend, Marianne Charlotte and I travelled down to the state's south east with my brother and his family. We had a great time bonding as well as heading out on some exploratory outings. This one was to a familiar spot where I had much better conditions than our trip a year ago! A hair found its way onto my sensor though and so alot of this shot required some cleaning up as will the rest of this series ......how it got there, I have no idea!!!
