This is a close up of my little friend.
Cool little fern, where the tips become "frostier" the cooler the ambient room temperature is. For some reason, she reminds me of white-tipped-toe-socks.

So ... I just posted some nice wintery pics... and 10 minutes ago, a truck drops off a load of products for a catalogue shoot i'll be starting Monday......

Maybe winter HAS finally arrived!

All I know is, when the shoot's over, i'm hoping there's snow left on the ground so i can "test" some of these out!

Cousin Steve posted a pic that spurred me to capture a St.Lambert version. This year is unusual and disconcerting with the utter lack of snow, and winter-like weather.

Just freakin' weird!
Anyways.... today i woke to (finally) a beatiful coating of sticky white stuff. Not busy in the studio today, so i went for a stroll.

...yup... 1 year-4 days ago....... Lil-Bits was born... so we watched over Sam (19 months old here) that day.... and had the opportunity to have some fun in the leaves where i like to bring families for "Fall-Portraits"....
... I shot Little Jake the next day...i'll post that one next.

There are no leaves there today... we had a wicked wind storm a few days ago, and i think all the leaves from St.Lambert ended up in the Gaspé somewhere.... it completely messes up my family portraits for next week!

Marc-Antoine Ethier- age 4, gave this to me on Saturday....

... He's the son of customers who have been using my services for the last 2 kids, having shot their maternity, newborn, and family portraits over the years.... this last Saturday i shot their family reunion portrait for their parent's 45th...
...They explained to me with tears in their eyes, that Marc Antoine has never ever wanted to make something for anyone.... until now.... He had so much fun with me in my studio during the last shoot a month ago (their 2nd newborn shoot), that he wanted to make me a gift.... and chose the Angel fish because he loved the way i showed him my fishies....he made this all by himself.
...He was very shy (as many 4 year olds can be), but i was able to break through to him, and the parents were in disbelief at the rapport we generated!
(sorry... not trying to toot my horn)
..

... I wore that bracelet all day with pride. Sometimes it's the little things like this, that help me want to continue...when i question what it is i'm trying to accomplish in life...
:)

...anyways... that's enough sap for today.
