Active Assignment Weekly Nov. 28 - Dec. 5: All Things Orange

WIT: On the subway this morning, sat across from this woman, and thought the orange accessories were rather jarring compared to her expression. The orange doors were a bonus. In post, played around with the tones, including desaturating the background, as the sign colours were distracting, as was the seat colour. Also cropped to 8 by 10.

Active Assignment Weekly Sept. 12 - 19: Street Scene

WIT: Downtown, saw this couple, and thought it is indicative of big city life, their body language speaks of human isolation in spite of the density of population. Took the pic, slightly desaturated the denim to match the overall tones. I didn't have to darken the background, because the window was under the shade of a tree and the people were out in the sun.

Active Assignment Weekly: January 24 - 31 -- Makeup

WIT: This is what I do weekly, to keep my skin healthy. When I put this mask on my face, this "makeup" has an almost primal look to it; I suppose women have been trying to beautify themselves since primal times - the more things change, etc...

I used a blue corn mask, red lipstick, natural light, and not much else in Photoshop except a slight desaturation of the skin tones to highlight the red lipstick and blue hue of the mask.
