I've been thinking on how to save the environment by recycling paper.
I decided to cut them into quarters and bind them together using stapler.
I have seen many restaurants using similar method.
Save the environment. Save your money.

Revisited GTD tonight, & was looking for updates in how user make use of index cards.

2010, I use a few system to help / manage my work & personal life.

1) Index card. I have a index card for everyday; on 1 side, it is the to-do-list for work, & on the other side, it's for personal stuff & expenses.

2) Traveler's notebook. It's my 2010 planner & my journal where I pen some of my thoughts.

3) Hipster PDA. I n using it as a notebook to pen down random stuffs like ideas, information, etc. it's a general purpose book.

4) iPhone. Using it to take pictures & flickring. Might need to explore new apps to help manage my work.

5) Paper monthly calender. Use it for work - operational issues. The calender is usually folded & keep inside the traveler's notebook.

Intended to get a Rhodia planner for 2010 but I haven't got the time to go for a hunt.
And in order to cut cost, i decided to transform my existing notebook refills into a planner.
Spent 1.5 hours drawing the lines, and manually stamped the dates into the notebooks.

For 2010, I will be carry this Traveler's planner, a pile of index card, and the monthly calender. Planner allows me to pen down my appointments so that I can refer back;
index card allows me to pen down my TDL, expenses, personal appointment (reminder).
Monthly calender contains mostly work related information - meetings, payroll, training, stock take, etc..

So much to write?

I really wonder how many notebooks must i use...
At one glance, you see 3 notebooks, 2 manual written, another press written.

Like i always say, Different weapons, Different purposes.

What you see are my 2009 planner, Hipster PDA for my to-do-list, and my work station.

Test load from my iphone using Flickit.
Thats my hipster PDA, to-do list, whatever you call it.
It become my rough-boo, where i just paint all rubbish on it... and of coz, i m using recycle paper. After the damage, i will keep those pages which i think its useful to me, and discard the rest. Supply for this notebook is endless... just pop by any office, and ask them to donate some recycle paper to you, and this book just keep going.

Yesterday afternoon, I was just showing (off) my DIY 2010 planner. And last night, I hit down to town to get the some refill for the notebook. To my surprise, the store finally got the weekly planner than i asked for a month ago. The shipment came in late. I decided to go for a change so that I can have a neater planner for the new year.
Have a chat with the store assistant and to my surprise, we have a small group of user for the Midori Traveler's notebook. Surprise !!

Been changing pen for my Traveler's notebook. I hate it. I prefer to have my notebook with words and drawings in one universal color: Black. Paper quality for this notebook allows the ink of roller pen to be seen on the next page.
