I'm 35 today. This is the beginning of my fourth 365 project.

If you're considering starting a 365 project, do it. It is very personally satisfying and much easier than writing in a journal. I treat mine as a documentary so there is no pressure to be creative on days when I am in a funk. I wish I had started years earlier.

Today I received my Lifepixel standard IR converted D90! So far it's much better than the D70 was, I'm really enjoying it, and I haven't even taken it outside yet.

I made a quick video showing the IR in action and describe what the normal colors are of various objects around my house.

From what I understand, this is a seismic retrofit of the historic PacBell building. It's a beautiful building, I've always wanted to take photos inside of it. I'm glad they're repairing it so it can survive the next big quake. According to Wikipedia, this is the future home of Yelp.

Picked up this 18-55mm DX lens yesterday and was amazed at how well it worked on the D800 in FX mode. At 18mm it looks heavily vignetted like this, but from 22mm on it's much more gently stylized.

This shot had LR4's lens profile distortion correction applied, but not vignette removal.
