I love the little rowan tree outside our place. We have these wonderful white blossoms in the spring time, and later in the year, those bright vibrant orange-red berries. Fab!

I've become quite the accomplished bee stalker. I've pretty much discovered that if a bee is focused on the blossom, I can get my lens pretty close without disturbing it. Of course, I'm not being TOO brazen. But still.

This lovely pink dogwood tree was in bloom across the street from my grandmother's house down in Virginia. At one point in the weekend, this conversation took place:

My Cousin: "What kind of tree is that?"

Me: "Dogwood."

My Cousin: "Why's it pink, then?"

Me: "It's a pink dogwood."

My Cousin: *a beat* "Why didn't I think of that?"
