Here's the front view of the garden shed on the barge attached to the houseboat called Flora's Float in the harbour in Gibsons. She has created a magical garden in a very small space and is an inspiration to anyone with a green thumb.

This is the houseboat that Suzanne lives on and you can just make out the beginning of her garden on a barge at the far end. This is spring, but by the time summer rolls around, the houseboat is covered with cascading and climbing plants.

At the end of the pier in Gibsons is a wonderful building made with logs and shakes. The support pillars are carved with salmon heading upstream.

Ferry to Vancouver...

This is the main mode of travel for those of us living on the Sunshine Coast...a rather cloudy day showing the ferry to Vancouver. It takes us 40 minutes to sail this stretch to the city, but with a full restaurant and gift shop, not to mention spectacular views of mountains reaching the sea, the time goes by quickly.

This little vessel is just down the dock from Flora's Float...the houseboat and garden on a barge. It looks as though it was a water taxi in a former life.

This is the back view of the garden shed on Flora's Float...the garden on a barge attached to the houseboat in the harbour in Gibsons. She certainly has a green thumb...this only shows part of the wonderful garden she's been able to create in a relatively small space.

Once you've seen the garden that the owner of this houseboat has made on a barge attached to her houseboat, you'd wonder that she had any time to sit and relax on her "patio".
