I cannot believe I forgot about Earth Hour this year.
It's tonight!!!! Too late for folks on the other side of the pond. :-(

TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS!!!!! TV's, computers, radio, anything that uses power.
It's only for one hour!!!! You can do it!
Help preserve the Earth's resources so Qannik polar bear's wild relatives have a place to live.

Qannik is a 14 month old orphaned polar bear. Rescued in Alaska when she was about 3 months old, she stayed at the Alaska Zoo for a short time and then came to Louisville Zoo to make her new home. She is very playful and curious and loved by all. Need I even say that. :-)
Zoo staff told us she weighs in at around 230-240 lbs.

Qannik was a lot of fun to watch as she checked out every inch of all the connected exhibits.
Here she is munching on some food treats the keepers has tossed into the pool. clams maybe?

It was a great visit with Ucumari & Tammy down in Louisville Zoo.
They continue their venture as they go onward and upward into the north. :-)
