It's been literal years since I've said hello to everyone. Forgive me. As crazy as you've all seen my life become, it got even crazier for a while. Had to back away from everything and everyone and concentrate on surviving.

I broke down and signed up for Facebook, if you'd like to add me. Sharlene Gonzales-Shappart.

I hope you are all doing well. I took this with a friends phone. I don't have a real computer to do editing anymore, or a real camera, so this will have to work for now ;)

Our kitty Loki died today. He got hit by a car and my sons found him this morning on their way to school :( Here's a shot I took of him when he was a baby.

Sorry I havent been around folks. Life has been a very strange roller coaster. First our car died around Christmas and then Jan. 6th our home was burglarized and we lost practically everything we own... including my only camera :( Now the insurance company is convinced there isnt any sign of forced entry and their making our lives miserable. We're both being heavily investigated and harassed. Its unbelievable. Not only was our peace of mind destroyed and our property stolen, now we're enduring a whole new level of being victimized. I'm just waiting for the next hammer to fall. On a positive note, things with Nick are going wonderfully. Every day I'm grateful to have him back in my life. The laughter, wrestling, chasing and pranks is never ending. I wouldnt trade any of that for all the gold in Fort Knox :) It's wonderful to know that no matter what life throws in our path, together we have the strength to take it on.

When this nightmare with the insurance company goes away, for better or for worse... I will be back here more often and participating. I know a lot of you have written and I havent replied yet, for that I apologize. Sometimes I withdraw from the world for long periods of time, its just the way I am. I'm a work in progress... keep checking back for Sharlene 2.0 ;) Coming to a computer near you.

Nick jumped into his car one evening and traveled over 1100 miles to surprise me with
3 dozen roses, to tell me he loved me and to ask me to move home with him back to
Arizona. It only took him 8 years to get around to it. LoL ;)

It's good to be home and its wonderful to have my love back :) :) :) :) :) He makes
me laugh like nobody else on this planet... I need that as much as the air I breathe.

This was taken on my birthday last year while hiking around Mt. Lemon
in Tucson, Arizona. I'm still messing around with my new zombie filter
and blending it with different layers :) I kind of like how this one turned
out...sort of surreal and glowing.
