Yellow and black spider at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco

This was shot with a pane of glass in between so the picture is a bit hazy. I don't think I would have been able to take a picture of the spider if there wasn't that glass separating me from it! It was almost as big as my palm!

I saw this little dude spinning a web right outside our kitchen window one day and I named her Big Bertha. I was really startled when I saw her cause she was HUGE; her body was as big as my thumb!!! Good thing there was a window separating me from her since I don't do well when near any types of creepy crawlies.

I finally got new fish today after that almost 5 month hiatus of no fish. I spent the last week trying to disinfect the tank of that fungus that killed all my fish last time, I hope it doesn't creep up ever again!

This one looks like Lippy but of the calico variety. He/she is still unnamed and I suck at naming so any suggestions are welcome.

There are 2 other new fish but they're quite camera shy at the moment hehe.

I haven't had a chance to take new pictures lately so heres an old one of Lippy the bug-eyed goldfish!

I was looking at the aquarium earlier and noticed that he has gotten a lot larger from when I first got him, and his head is also disproportionately larger than the rest of his body.

According to wikipedia: It stands at 42.7 meter high, and it is the world's tallest statue of Murugan. The statue, which cost approximately Rupees 24 million, is made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete, 250 tonnes of steel bars and 300 litres of gold paint brought in from neighboring Thailand.

Now that's one massive statue!

A rose blossom in the backyard that grew to the size of a soup bowl... must be some secret chemical in the soil.... hmmm...

It is a tad out of focus but I still like it!
