On a recent dive trip Eric Bowman, the owner and Captain of the Peace pulled the bow of the boat in Painted Cave at Santa Cruz Island. The inside of the cave is actually quite dark, but the combination of ISO 1600 film and a F/2 lens rendered a quite acceptable picture. It was actually quite a bit darker than the photo makes it appear. I took eight shots and this was the only one that did not have too much movement blur from both me and the slow rocking of the boat.

A family had rented the Veterans' Memorial Auditorium for a wedding. Instead of traditional catering they hired four different catering trucks (roach coaches) to provide food. The guest were given tickets for dinner and walked out to the truck of their choice to redeem it for dinner.

While doing the internet search for the link I discovered that Veterans' Memorial Auditorium is the home to the Angel City Derby Girls. I might have to wander over and watch a game.

Kathryn and I went out to downtown Culver City for a late dinner and ended up in a dark corner of the restaurant. There were many small white lights hanging from the top of the large windows. The lights and their reflections are in the the interesting bokeh in the background.

After dinner we walked around the area and I took some of the recent series of TMAX 3200 shots.

This one was shot at F/1.2 hence the very shallow DOF.

This one was shot with the lens wide-open to F/1.2 at about 1:30 AM
Notice the coma from the lights near the upper corners. There is very little away the corners. Not bad for F/1.2.

This is technically a good shot, but I am not completely happy with the composition. I tried cropping it but I was not satisfied with that either, it needs something more than just the tombstone.. The one think I liked about this graveyard was how overgrown it was. The concrete on this set of graves does not show that. Perhaps that is thy I don't like it as well as other from the series.
