The ducks as ducklings. They are well and truly fully grown now. They have actually got cuter as they have grown up and the whole family adore them. The ducks (and hens) are the only animals we have that I actually ~~like~~ love.

No - hang on - the other one must be there, just hidden. They've gone everywhere together since we've had them.

Also, look at the green, the grass, the flowers! Now it's just mud, mud, mud. Last year's weather was terrible.

Father Christmas brought the girls a pony for Christmas 2010. I have never forgiven him. I am amazed he managed it because that was quite a bad winter, lots of snow, etc. But I guess for ponies, reindeer and sleighs that's the best kind of weather.

I am also amazed I actually managed to get a good photo of her as she wasn't with us that long. Although she was very cute and pretty and very good as a lead rein pony on hacks, she was not at all the best off the lead rein. The eldest was thrown by her quite badly one day and then it took about three hours to catch her - having to slowly fence her in a corner. All a bit of a contrast to the current ponies who you can pretty much just call over by name when you want to catch them.

The sunlounge is such a pretty room for Christmas. The only downside is it's freezing (being more of a summer room) so the window you can see opened in the back is between the sunlounge and the living room in an attempt to let some of the heat through from the fire.
