Mars has just transited over Mt. Rainier in this view from the north at Haller Pass. I shot this in 2003 when Mars was very close.

Mars has transited over Mt. Rainier and is gradually setting. Maybe I can make it around to Sunrise Visitor Center on the east side and catch it setting against the mountain. The background constellation is Pisces.
