Infostand. In the background we are holding an event, a mini solarmobile race, for children. They have to make the little cars themselves. The mini solarmobile on a blue shoe won a design prize, if I can recall correctly.
2012: For many years these races kept society's memory awake, that in the past there had been solarmobile races for "real" cars, called the Tour de Sol. Thanks to the sustainable-events organizer Louis Palmer (writing 2012) electromobiles have come back again (see my sets about these races. And his WAVES tour does not lack competitors in Europe).

This event is important so that young people can see solar energy solutions as a "normal" way of life. Unfortunately the real large sized solarmobiles which existed 20 years ago have, for a large part, disappeared. As you can see, some vehibles used reused CD's for the wheels.
