With this photograph, I wanted an almost retro feel to be evident. Not overly, but just a hint of. The colours and the lightness of the image I manipulated in order to convey this. This is definitely one of my favorite images from that day! Please tell me what you think.

Michael Jackson - They Don't Really Care About Us
I have never seen this version of the video before. I always saw the Brazil version, this song as been filmed set in a US prison. Apparently it was banned, I guess it was too political and too close to home.

I wanted something atmospheric, almost cheap. I wanted the flash to look so obvious and crass. I have not used my flash gun for over a year now, because I generally despise that effect! I was hateful of the results at first.

Flickr is knackering me. I try and look at every persons work who I add, or who add me, and I have gone through over 100 streams in the last 3 days. I spend about 5 or 10 minutes on each stream, and the really inspiring ones much more time. I was backlogged at 210 a few days ago, now im on 185 in my mail, its like climbing a sand dune!

Ok, this was the beginning of a little series I started. I wanted something atmospheric, almost cheap. I wanted the flash to look so obvious and crass. I have not used my flash gun for over a year now, because I generally despise that effect! I was hateful of the results at first, but they have grown on me now. Quite fond of this image now.

I love the other images I took too, but I do not think I will upload them. I will probably experiment with this idea more soon.
