A guy that Janice and I encountered as we were walking in a park. He said he's still learning to ride the unicycle, but he seemed to be pretty good at it! He also said that riding it gives him a good work-out.

The shad netters capture fish and turtles of many varieties. As I watched, I saw them throwing most of the animals back into the river. This man stopped to admire a large catfish, and to show it to the people who had gathered to watch.

Tough Mudder

Easter worship services were finally prepared, so I went out for a walk, to relax. I encountered this man on a trail in the woods. He was moving at a good pace, carrying a heavy log. When he stopped at the covered bridge and took a breath, I asked him what was going on.

He said he's training for Tough Mudder, a 10-12 mile obstacle course designed by British special forces. "Tough Mother?" I asked. No -- mudder. As in running up muddy hills.

I asked the man to pose for a portrait just before he ran back into the woods.

A Laugh With Richard Allen

The actor who portrayed Richard Allen has a laugh with some of our church members, at Historic St. George's United Methodist Chuch, yesterday. It's part of a program called "Time Traveler," presented several times a year, for confirmation students.

Richard Allen and other black church members left St. George's in the late 1700s, responding to blatant racism, and later formed the African Methodist Episcopal denomination. Allen was elected the first bishop.

This man was probably finished with his role for the day, and had donned his own hat. The title of his book is, "60th Annual Re-Enactment of Washington Crossing the Delaware."

This "soldier" was walking with a purpose at Washington Crossing, PA. On Christmas Day, George Washington's army will cross the Delaware River, in preparation for their attack on British people in Trenton, NJ.

We can imagine what's on his mind.

I've been too busy, for a couple of days, to click the shutter. But, I'm picking up Kid #3 from college after work today, so I might have some opportunity up there!

Meanwhile, I've been working on this shot I took in Philly last weekend. Cropping, adding texture. I think I'm finally satisfied with the results.
