The background cemetary is one of the cemetaries right outside the French Quarter in New Orleans, from a trip I took there. I replaced the sky, added the lightening.

Another experiment, or learning process, I attempted. I wanted to try the box effect and see what would happen when I filled the box with Mother Nature. Then it just escaped me and I had to add a surfer, and a babe peeking from around the back of the box effect. I'm kinda happy with this one.

Created for the Down Under Challenge. I usually won't do an edit on the Challenges that I supply the photo. I supplied the hand (it's my brothers hand). I did this edit because I saw this idea and wanted to try it. Weird I know, but fun to do. Always another learning experience.

I actually used a sunset background pic I took, added the windsock pic I took at the same location, then inserted the plane and a picture of a Snoopy toy. The first finished version is below, but then I wanted to add a different filter and this is what I got. It's time for Snoopy to bring 'er in out of the rain.

We finally got a storm blasting through our county tonight. I was lucky enough to have my camera with me at work, so I took a few minutes and wandered outside to get these shots. Cool light show but no rain....which makes me happy as the town I live in has crappy flood drainage and a good rainstorm will make my lower family room flood.

A fun thing to see in Junea Alaska were all the seaplanes. I would have loved to gone up in one but I ran out of time. So I took pictures of as many as I could. This was one clear picture I got, so I embellished it a tad with textures, paint brushes, Topaz, and blends.

What do you do with crap that is illegal to toss in your trash can? You build a pile of crap.....at least in La Paz County you do. In The Monthly Scavenger Hunt, item #12 is: tire not attached to the vehicle. I was going to take a picture of a tire I have in my back yard......(again, how to get rid of them?)....but then traveling to Phoenix I spied this treasure. I did change out the sky since the one in my picture was dull.....our monsoons haven't started yet.

OFTEN WE CAN HELP EACH OTHER BY LEAVING EACH OTHER ALONE; AT OTHER TIMES WE NEED THE HAND-GRASP AND THE WORD OF CHEER.

It's amazing to me how you can take one photo and put 10 different filters or blends on it and that picture will become 10 entirely unique products. This Photoshop editing is so addicting to me. This photo is one I took from the beach in Cozumel. The woman is from: wet-ii-by-ElithaStock. I changed out the sky and added clouds. A gradient layer embellished the sky even more. I used different paintbrushes and textures for the shading on the photo. As you can see from the other two edits below, a simple change in blend modes creates a wide variety of changes.

The background is Castillo de San Cristobal, in old San Juan Puerto Rico...taken on our last vacation. I added clouds and lightening with paintbrushes. The woman was also added to the photo. In addition I used about 3 different textures and blended them each differently to get the glowing effect under the sinister storm clouds.
