Sequoia National Park, a national park in the southern Sierra Nevada, California, is famous for its Giant Sequoia trees. Giant Sequoias are the world's largest trees in terms of total volume. They grow to an average height of 50-85 metres (160-279 ft) and 6-8 metres (20-26 ft) in diameter. Record trees have been measured to be 94.8 metres (311 ft) in height and 17 metres (56 ft) in diameter. Imagine that!

Grizzly Falls is probably the best known and most impressive waterfall in the Kings Canyon area. It dramatically drops some 75ft in a misty display during the spring. Technically, this waterfall is not in Kings Canyon National Park though it is easily the most attractive of the waterfalls upon a visit to Cedar Grove. The falls actually is part of Sequoia National Forest as it sits on the Kings Highway between its departure of the national park boundary when it leaves Grant Grove and its return to the park at the Cedar Grove entrance. Still, you probably won't care which named reserve it sits in as you marvel at this lovely attraction.
