The bears testing the stone bench. This one was apparantly too hard, but fortunately very sturdy. I'm glad I followed the advice of Andrew ( who created it ) and mortared the three stones together.

While enjoying a Saturday in the garden, yesterday, I suddenly found I had unexpected guests. The bears were back.

I had a mother bear and her two cubs in the garden today when I got home for lunch. It was too late to save my bird feeders, but they couldn't hurt the fountain.

I had a mother bear and her two cubs in the garden today when I got home for lunch. It was too late to save my bird feeders, but they couldn't hurt the fountain. Actually, it's the racoons, who play in the fountain every night, that cause me a lot of work restoring it each morning.
