it is hard to expose the red taillights correctly when there is - like in this picture - too much glare from the street lights. If you zoom in it works well, but wide angle shots tend to lose the nice red streaks.

This beautiful view of parts of the Oslo skyline will soon be gone as E-18 gets put into a tunnel starting next year.

...this motorway and interchange will soon be history. They are tearing it all down (6 lanes of traffic) and putting the whole highway under the fjord. This will free up the coastal area to redevelopment and continue the revival of this part of town. Seen from the top of the new Opera building...

...the sunset seem from the Brooklyn Bridge. The Bayonne Bridge is to the right and all those crane are part of the Port of NY and NJ. The Statue of Liberty is in the foreground.

Cities look nicer at night especially in long exposure shots like this one. Long exposures make the city feel alive, hectic and interesting although in reality it may be pretty dead...

This is Indian Creek drive in Miami Beach, FL.

...downtown Oslo suffers from a lack of interesting neon lights. I did three exposures (+-2) and combined them in Photomatix to make this more interesting. It is also very easy to overexpose the Opera. Even in these exposures it was overexposed slightly in the -2 exposure...

The brand new Opera building is on the right. It is a fascinating structure - and more on that later - but it lacks colors. Dark Norwegian winter months cry out for colors and vibrance. White is nice, but snow is already white...

I thought my other shot would be better, but its slightly blurry.

There is a huge construction frenzy in coastal south Florida and nowhere is it more intense than north of downtown Miami (look at all those cranes)...bubble anyone?

...this probably should be straightened, but I'll keep it unaltered.

There is so much building activity in Chicago (and elsewhere). I tried to capture that spirit in this picture. The building in front of me has barely commenced. In constrast the blueish structure is well underway. Interestingly, this photo is unique since in a month the new building will obstruct the view.......

A line of parked cars close to State Street.....notice all the cranes that dot the skyline.

It got warm and all the snow melted in just a couple days - and naturally people started wearing shorts again (I still wear a jacket!).....not like it got tropically warm...

Just five minutes on the grass to close my eyes and dream and think things through. Lets stop this hectic day for a second and look at the sky and listen to all the hustle of people walking past and chatting. or maybe a chance to close my eyes for a moment....I feel free and relaxed and my worries and stresses drift away.

Taken in the heart of the UW-campus at 2 p.m - see the clock tower....

I should have leaned down and captured the guys angle better. Next time...

This street is impossible to cross so I took some pictures....

I was playing with the exposure settings and trying to get both the dark street and the bright background with the multiple cranes, the clouds and the UW College of Business.

Construction on a couple new buildings close to the Nat. At least the new buildings may have a chance of standing the test of time better than the stuff they built in the 70s.

A view north towards the Hancock tower from the Hyatt Regency. The different shapes and size of the buildings is fascinating. Its seems like there was absolutely no coordination of building types, sizes or colors......
