I remember when I was small, I thought of selling newspaper on the street. I thought that selling newspaper was a money spinner because everyone buys newspaper everyday.

Naive? Maybe. But I might get as much job satisfaction as I do now.

A good concierge is a must for a successful hotel.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul. It is a good hotel. We were able to check in early at 8:45am after arriving in Seoul at 5:30am. The staff were helpful and the rooms were clean.

The only drawback may be the location. Not the most centrally located hotel but the taxis in Seoul are cheap and efficient, so the location was not much of an issue for us.

Someone asked me the secrets of taking candid streetphotos. I am only a beginner and have no right to answer that question. But my 'strategy' is to aim the camera at the space where my prey is heading towards and then wait for the prey to come into focus. Sometimes they would notice my camera but I would not move my camera after pressing the shutter. So even after they walked past me, I would still be aiming at that space. Sometimes they thought that they were getting in my way! :-)

This set of traffic lights is located near Dongdaemun (東大門). There are 3 large shopping centres and thousands of street stalls selling clothings and shoes open till the early hours in Dongdaemun.

Time to take a break from candid street portraits.

Food is a highlight of the Seoul trip. I absolutely love Korean food. The Korean BBQ, the spicy noodles 辛辣麵, stone pot rice and the Korean hotpot are all fantastic food. I did't try the chestnut captured in this picture but there are other great food available in the numerous street food stalls everywhere in Seoul, especially at night.

Ewha Womans University (Korean: 이화여자대학교, Hanja: 梨花女子大學校) is a private women's university in central Seoul, South Korea. It is one of the city's largest institutions of higher learning and also the world's largest female educational institute. It also is one of the best-known universities in South Korea, and often considered to be the top women's university.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this graduation ceremony when we arrived in Seoul. This university is located at one end of a famous shopping district. I entered the campus and found myself in a sea of proud parents, graduates and professional photographers. Apart from flowers and dolls, the Koreans also like to buy balloons to celebrate the graduation.
