Notice how the ground is completely dry just above where the spring begins. The water comes out with the full force of a river.

Helen was our armed escort (wielding the German-made HK93 machine gun) for our walk to Mzima Springs at Tsavo West. Here, there are no fences between you and Nature, which includes hippos and crocodiles.
