i had the distinct pleasure last night of watching leslie's dream come true -- meeting the one and only bahhhhhhhb schneider. i was dubious about the show, and totally cranky when we got there a good two hours before he was due to play. but i gotta give leslie props -- he put on a stupendous show. i haven't seen that much energy onstage since i last saw bruce springsteen. good stuff. and despite leslie's infatuation with the bob, i myself was crushin' on plank, the guitarist, who spent much of the show smiling quietly to himself as bob sang about titties and tarantulas.

anyhoo, this one's for you, leslie. :-)

this is me, just a few minutes ago, wearing the scarf that leslie JUST made for me with wool dyed by jamie based on a photograph i took, with some fabulous lunatic fringe added. i adore it!

on my way home yesterday i stopped by leslie's place for a brief visit. we sat in the garden and chatted, and then she played for me. her improvement since the last time i saw her play just a week ago was amazing, as evidenced here by her blistered fingers -- the proud stain of a budding musician.

when she walked me to my car, i insisted on shooting her fingers. cos i'm weird like that.
