Today is Sabado Gras. Three days to Fat Tuesday. And all we're getting are heavy rains and tornado warnings.

(Behind-the-scene: This was photographed last year on Viernes Gras amidst the revelry leading to the big day ~ Fat Tuesday - Mardi Gras. I had a cousin, Iella visiting from Los Angeles and we wanted to take her to downtown New Orleans so she can partake of the local "Laissez les bon temps rouller!" atmosphere. It was raining and we took shelter at Cafe Pontalba. After we were settled in our table I stepped outside to have a measure of how rainy it was. I saw this lowly bicycle parked by the door. Snap. Snap. Back to our table I went. I captured a lot of images in the rain that day. Inspite of the inclement weather it was a great New Orleans soiree.).
