okay…ö_öhö_ö! i thought it was time to post again and here is a tiny tree frog that i found when i was walking near by home on saturday morning. just after a heavy rain, the timid forest of mount faber was still dripping and suddenly i’ve noticed some activity in a bush of golden torches * Heliconia psittacorum L.f x H. Spathocircinata - Aristeguiata cv.* ö_öh well, then there was this big-eyes critter. ^o^ yeah, i’m learning since the past year that this kind of subject demands the use of a flashlight with a handheld or monopodded camera :P yeah! specially when i’m working two kind of subjects small highly animate creatures, or minute subjects where impractical *but wondrous :P* natural-light-exposure times combine w/ the difficulty of working a tripod into position. ó_ò the subject won’t hold still waiting for you while you position it…. well, restraining the subject is not an answer 4 me. and, i disagree with some advice to refrigerate *freezing cold* small animate subjects, brrrrr! imagine refrigerating your kids or little siblings ó_ò until they could not move and then photographing them. ^_~ okay, okay… trying to work a tripod into this scene in order to shoot with natural-light at this image size is hopeless- i thought, subject was in the middle of heliconias’ leaves >_< so, i’ve proceeded shooting w/ a nikon r1 ttl ring flashlight attached into my camera, which was mounted on an arc swiss monoball ball and – socked head on top of G1578L gitzo monopod.
