we decided it was time to get Wally comfortable with leaving the house with us. he was very afraid of getting in and out of the car, but boy he had a great time walking! (and so did WE)

so Wally is starting to feel more comfortable going outside, particularly if both Kenny and I are out there with him.

kissy kissy! Wally seems to feel safer outside when we crouch down closer to his level. If we're standing, he get's afraid that either we are going to leave him, or even worse - take him away. He's still very insecure that he will be suddenly taken from his new home, so we spend LOTS of time reassuring him, and letting him discover and explore things at his own pace.

we were at an art & wine festival/street fair over in Livermore this past weekend, and must have seen 20 poodles. we found this little guy up for adoption, and of course it got us talking and thinking about how we each felt about how soon we should bring a new dog into our family. We decided that we should begin the looking process, and then just wait until the RIGHT poodle, picks US! This poodle here was very sweet, - but there wasn't that immediate connection that we both remember having the moment we each met Latte for the first time.
