After Spending Few Hours Viewing The Foggy Island, We Had Lunch & Then Left Bandipur To Visit Gorkha Durbar, The Birth Place Of King Prithvi Narayan Shah.

One Has To Go Up-Hill Through A Long Stairway (Around 1500 - 1700 Steps) To Reach The Gorkha Palace Because It Is Strategically Located Over A Fortified Hillock. However, Its Surrounding Looked More Like Of A Pilgrimage To Me.

Since The Palace is At The Height Of 1135 Meters, It Offers A Magnificient View Of Manaslu & Himalchuli Peaks. It Also Offers An Extra-Ordinary Sunset View! We Were Lucky To Have The Clear & Closer View Of Both The Mountain Peaks & The Sunset! :)

A Morning View From Bandipur Hill, Isn't It Heavenly? One May Say That It's Cloud Covering The Hills But It's Purely Fog & That's Why I Described It As 'The Foggy Island'. Since This Was A New Experience For Me, I Kept Clicking Photos Like A Mad Boy; So Madly That I Forgot To Adjust Settings To Capture The View At Its Best.

They Say "The Foggiest Place In The World Is The Grand Banks Off The Island Of Newfoundland." Having Encounter This View, I Wonder What Does It Feel Or Look Like To Be Inside That Foggiest Place Or Is This The The New Foggiest Place On Earth? ;)

A Month Ago, I Took My 2 Years Old Nephew On A Bike Ride Somewhere To A Bhimdhunga Village, Around 7-10 Km West From Sitapaila. I Was On Leave & Was Getting Bored Staying At Home. My Nephew Was Asking Me To Take Him Outside - To Climb Hills In His Language! :)

I Was More Than Ready & Happy To Take Him On A Ride. Since I Had A Jialing XL Bike, We Went Up Hills & Stopped At An Unknown Place Of Bhimdhunga Village. We Were Already At The Height Enjoying The Cold-Fresh Breeze & Foggy Partial View Of Kathmandu Valley. We Stayed There For Half & Hour Watching Local Villagers & Primary Students Passing By. While Returning, I Was Very Surprised & More Than Happy To Have Seen & Captured This Beautiful View.

I Tried To Google The Name Of The Mountain, But Couldn't Figure Out Exactly.. May Be It's Himalchuli ..

My First Encounter With This Weird Insect! At First, I Thought It Was A Dead-Dry Stem. Surprisingly, The Insect Was Shown To Me By My 2 Years Old Nephew. It Was Really Very Obedient: I Could Position It The Way I Wanted!

Even After 20 Hrs, It Was Still Hanging Up-Side-Down Near The Location I Left It Before.

Some Info About The Insect:
The Insect Is Very Skinny Almost Like The Size Of A Stem In The Above Photo, But Is Known With Multiple Names Such As Stick Insect, Walking Stick, Stick-Bugs, Phasmids, Ghost Insects & Leaf Insects. They Range In Size From A Tiny Half-Inch-Long To 21 Inches!!

My 2 Years Old Nephew Is Kinda Afraid Of Touching Or Even Getting Closer To The Stuffs That Are New For Him; Be It Machines, Sounds, Insects, Pets or Anything That Moves. So, I Was Trying To Convince Him To Put The Mantis On His Hand From My Hand For Once & Only Once, But In Vain. Instead, He Cried, Shouted & Ran Away Like The Guy That Runs In A Game 'Run Like Hell'!

Without Telling Him, For Once, I Put That Mantis On His Back & When It Slowly Moved To His Neck, I Guess You Guys Know The Rest Of The Story... ;) :-p

For The Record, Even When I Was Of 26, I Used To Be Afraid Of Touching Mantis! :-P

You're So Gentle & Friendly. I Loved Your Brown Eyes The Most. You Hated To Take Bath So Much That It Was Really Difficult For All Of Us To Make You Bath. There Was A Day, I Mistakenly Locked The Main Gate & Went To Office Not Noticing That You Were Actually Outside Of The House. Later, I Was Told That You Were Waiting In Front Of The Gate; Sorry That You Had To Wait 6 Hrs To Get Into The House.

The Prey Earthworm Is Being Dragged And I Don't Know The Name Of The Predator. Do You Know?

What Amazed Me: The Black Crawler Was Moving Backward Dragging The Prey. I Have Always Seen It Moving Forward Only! The Earthworm That Could Do "Rolling & Twisting" Like An Elastic Spring In Super Fast Motion, Was Completely Helpless & Motionless(Probably Dead!). The Crawler Caught The Earthworm When It Was Alive!

I Also Saw The Dark Crawler(When It Entered Into My Room) Having 2/3 LED Like Thing That Glows At Its Other End(Tail Part). It Was Glowing When I Tried To Pick It Up From The Floor To Throw It Away.

Another Interesting Connection About The Crawler~ Few Days Back When I Told My Mom About It Entering My Room, She Said That That Crawler Hunts Snails Without Shells For The Survival & To Be Honest I Didn't Believe Her That Day!! :-p

This Damselfly Got Beautiful Pearl-Like-Thing (Simple Eye) Somewhere Between It's Compound Eye And To My Surprise It Wasn't Scared At All Even After Moving My PAS's Lens Just 2cm Above Its Head!! Very Brave, Huh??

This Photo Is Not That Good One; But Still I Decided To Upload It To Mark 100th Because Every Time I Look Into This Photo, I Always Wonder How Beautiful This Picture Would Have Been If There Was A Good Focus. The Day I Took This Photo, I Realized & Understood That Buying Or Having A DSLR Or Expensive Camera Doesn't Make You A Photographer.

I Took This Photo With A DSLR(D40X) & 70-300mm Lens(MF & No VR) That I Borrowed From My Cousin To Learn Using DSLRs Seriously. As Of The Writing, I Still Don't Own A DSLR Probably Because It's Expensive For Me. But I Wish To Have One Of My Own; May Be Someday.

Also, I Uploaded & Made This Photo 100th Because I Wanted Myself To Be Reminded The Day I Turned 27!
