Here one damselfly (Ischnura elegans) eating another individual of the same species. It was not a difficult catch; as you can see the wings of the victim are not totally folded out as it just emerged from the water. 70-300 mm lens + close up filter

Here a damselfly (Ischnura elegans) feeding on a member of the same species. You can see that the green one in the picture emerged later from the water than the red one; if you look at its wings you can see that they are not totally unfold. This makes it of course an easy prey. Also of members of the same species.

Most of the pictures I make are within a 100 m radius of my house. I took this picture of this frog in my garden. It is swimming in a pond made from a large round bucket, 80 cm across;). You can see my (what is it called in English: parasol(?) reflected in its eye. Olympus E 620, 70-300 mm lens

Here a solitary wasp near its nest. I drilled a lot of holes in a block of wood and now it is on display next to my front door. Why? because it is sunny over there and that's what these solitary wasps and bees need to lay their eggs. Picture made with olympus E 620 and 35 mm macro lens hand held. No crop. Size of insect about 1.3 cm.
