Taken at the Calico Ghost Town, located in Barstow California, this is a replica schoolhouse, which sits atop of the town founded in the late 1800's for its silver mining. If you are ever in the area between Southern California and Las Vegas, this is a wonderful, lesser-known historical spot that is great for photography.

Very different I know, but not really when you think about it…for me it’s mostly about perspective. I wonder how many people do this…I can go outside with my camera and take pictures endlessly of what seems like nothing. Yes people wonder what is wrong with me, but that doesn’t stop me. But what I try and capture is a certain perspective or angle on things…here I tried to take it as far to the edge as I could while still being able to read the box number, which yes is mine. Might seem crazy but it’s my way of having fun!

A Stroll Through the Plaza

This scene was shot at the Farmers Market in Arcata Plaza. Arcata is located in rural Humboldt County amongst the redwood trees, along the very northern coast of California. Every year my family visits this area to see family and friends, and we just returned from there a few days ago. I decided to give the photo a different look with a little help from Photoshop.

Modern Time Olden Days

This is a recent photo taken on a warm sunny summer day at the Orange County Fairgrounds of a rather modern looking replica of an old barn. It is a fully funtional barn nonetheless as there were cows mooing away inside as we passed through. The texture added to the photo is one that I created myself.
