Velenje has three lakes, which are Lake Velenje, Lake Skale and Lake Druzmir. Lake Velenje is the largest in the valley. It is a nice place for walking, cycling, jogging and doing other activities. Here are also restaurants with good food. In the nearness is a camp. Due to excavation of lignite coal caused the lake.
