The desert is a harsh place, and when beings succumb to it their vitreous and other humors desiccate naturally. Voids remain. What I'm driving at here is that, save for staging the stick relative to the bird, nothing the least bit gross nor unethical was done for this shot.

What's the name for being unsure if you've capturing the method that made you feel something or if you've just discovered your own method of achieving the same feeling?

What I mean is; there might not be a shot anywhere in The Trial of Joan of Arc lit or framed anything like this, but it makes me remember the same feelings.

(Lights: The backlight was a desk lamp with a 27w CFL which I black-wrapped off 2/3rds of the surface area of to make it harder. The key pointing down on her from the the right was a high-powered Husky work light. There's no light on her hair though, that's a post fix; because it was late, and the gaffer had gone to bed, and everything I tried to rig spilled too much light into her eyes)
