Again this gorgeous library. This time I contacted the Money museum and asked them if I could take photos in their library. Surprisingly, they agreed as long as I did not use flash. So, last Thursday, I visited the museum again and brought my tripod and my fish-eye lens. I was going to try to reproduce the first image I took of this library (The Old Library). I hope you like it...

Almost one year ago, I uploaded a picture “The Old Library” which became my most viewed and faved image. I took this image in the library of the Money Museum in Utrecht. Photography is not allowed in there but I showed up early in the morning and nobody was around. Of course I took several images and I think it is time to upload another shot from this amazing library.

I've done such a shot before but Sweden has some many woods that I could not resist taking another fisheye shot of trees. This time a made a HDR out of 5 images...

Today, I visited the Teylers Museum in Haarlem. The museum is beautiful and I went there especially for taking photo's. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed. The whole museum was crowded with staff, which suspiciously were examining my huge photo bag. After walking up and down the museum for quite a while I finally got the change to fire of a few shots...

Castle Heemstede (8mm)

This castle was build in 1645 in a Dutch Classicistic style. In 1987 a fired destroyed the castle almost completely. It took till 1999 before the renovation of the castle started. In 2002 it was finished and turned into a restaurant...

This image was taken in the Museum Catharijneconvent (Utrecht, The Netherlands). I had not visitied the museum for a long time, but now I have a museumjaarkaart, so I gave it a try. It used to be quite an old dusty place but they gave it a total make-over last year. The museum is truly a masterpiece now. Go visit it you won't be disappointed...

ps. Tripods were not allowed, so I placed my camera on the floor (Exposure time: 15 sec, Aperture F11)
