This is the pebbled grip on top of the stick that shifts my car into "Drive."

I tell you, I really like to find stuff within arm's reach to photograph. Within arm's reach. Really.

Some gopher gnawed the snot out of the rubber seal on the bottom of my garage door a couple years ago. Drives me nuts every time I see it.

This is a rather dull an uninteresting shot. So, i thought I'd play with it by using some flare, infrared grain, heavy local contrast enhancement, and playing multiple layers off each other to create a solarized effect. It's far more interesting in larger versions. But, still, it's not art. Just play.

This is a pedestal at a playground with a rubberized grip. What made it interesting for me, apart from the texture was the nailhead sticking out of the middle.

Didn't strike me as a terribly safe thing to put there, but who am I to say?
