Caterpillar - Nuclear power - 1975

Lots of questions that seem even handed, but push the nuclear power industry's agenda - "But can we hold nuclear risks to levels most would judge acceptable? Levels that would permit us to complete those generating stations already planned -and those that could be added?
The more we delay this answer, the greater the chance we may fall short of adequate future power. Concerned citizens, government and industry must move toward agreement faster.
Caterpillar's involvement is machinery used in energy production, site preparation and land reclamation. We are concerned over the lack of definitive national energy policy.
There are not simple solutions. Only intelligent choices."

Union 76 Oil - feed cattle - 1975

Beef is one of the major sources of protein in the American diet. It is also one of the more expensive. But there are ways to keep the cost of beef down. Dr. Alex Miller is helping to find them.

Working with other scientists at Union Oil's Research Center, Dr. Miller is developing new liquid food supplements for cattle. One of the new supplements that Dr. Miller helped develop contains urea - a product derived from natural gas - along with calcium salts, vitamins, and other key ingredients. This balanced supplement improves the nutrition of cattle.

Dr. Miller's work expands the family of products called Protein Molasses Supplement (PMS). Union Oil's subsidiary, Collier Carbon and Chemical Corporation, makes PMS. It is designed to comprise 5 to 10% of the cattle's diet, taking over where nature leaves off.
