Brooches formed from found objects on my local beach. Part of my creative project, all based around the sea, shoreline and problems of pollution.

This term's work, laid out ready to be marked. The folder with pictures of birds is the write up of my biggest piece, a Tree of Life. The birds are wired to a tree in my garden and each is glazed and decorated in a different way to represent the people, pets, jobs, hobbies and interests I have in my life. It's been great fun to do, but an enormous amount of work.

At Dynefor Castle this afternoon with my son Tom and his hounds, Harry and Bebe.
(When Mum was really frail, before she moved into the nursing home, Harry was too much and he went to live with Tom and Bebe. He comes to visit regularly, but has a wonderful relationship with Tom and adores Bebe. I do miss him, though.)

Biba joined our family three weeks ago. She is a rescue dog from Greyhound Rescue Wales and is a Greyhound/Whippet cross. No one could ever take the place of Cosy, but Biba slotted right in and is as happy as can be to have found a nice home.

There was this funny light in the sky, I think it may have been The Sun. I posted this to remind me as today it has been thundering, flashing lightening, torrential rain, hail (yes, HAIL) and howling winds.

This is for Mr Madden, as requested!
This boy is Tali, my new cat, re-homed with me as his previous servant had to move and couldn't take him with her. He is a lovely, handsome boy with a murderous streak! Not a mouse, rat or vole is safe in Dryslwyn now! He has the loudest "Meoooow" ever and doesn't hesitate to employ it if I am a little slow in serving him his Whiskers pouches (no tinned rubbish for Lord Tali, only the best will do!).

This incredible garden was once a soggy bog, covered in huge Gunnera plants, now it is a beautiful and very interesting place to spend time. The restaurant there is also divine!

In September, I begin a degree course in ceramics. This is the first time I've ever made anything from clay, and I was really pleased with it!
