The Funny Bunny logo side.
The embroidery on this side went better. Not as warped.

Front view.

I am not entirely happy with how the ear looks. Both the positioning and the shape of the ears themselves. The positioning is easy to fix for next helmet, but the shape/sewing of ears.. hmm.

Miss Funny Bunny side.
Here the embroidery went poorly, the stitching was so dense that it got warped (quite apparent if you look at the outlining, then you can notice that the stitch fills got warped). It went good on the woven poplin fabric sample stitching but on this wool fabric it went worser. I have ordered new interfacing, waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully it will help for better result.

Apple Blossom (of the smaller and greener variety) is hounding me...

Yes I am crazy to make a second corset! It will be a little narrower in waist! It was going to be ballgown corset but now I am not going to attend to the Stockholm ball but I will still make it, but more relaxed, so I will definitely dye the fabric.... Fourth corset!

I have made a lot of adjustments on my basic bodice pattern (about time) and here I am trying it out - as 50's toddler dress - hopefully. :D If it sits well I will shrink it to Middie size too.

Smock prototype

Luma (No I did not put the other clothes on her, she already wore them - perfect coordination! :D) is modeling the first prototype of the Emerald Witch smock. Almost perfect straight from beginning - good! I will add a few millimeters to the bottom so it can be worn as a dress without flashing the witch's bottom. :)

What do you think? Should I produce smocks for Emerald Witches? (with embroidery just like on the blythe versions)

I am considering using velcro instead for sewing it shut in back. Because it is already hard on Blythes to put over sweaters (with the half sewn and one snap button on top) so I am opting for doing fully openable at back with velcro closure. (considering this because to keep price low, velcro is 1000 times quicker to sew on than multiple poppas)

Finally made one by real to figure out the construction (sold the instructions but kept pattern, haha)
Made of cheap poly/cotton blend. Will make a proper one with better fit next time.. someday. Now at least I have one to wear... First item finished for the victorian garb... Now I am waiting for supplies for the corset!

(also I want to warn you about Laughing Moon's patterns, so poor fit!)
Do not choose the size by the body measurement if you are or have been ever a little overweight or extra busty, by then you will choose the size you "should be" (as for the shoulder width/ bone structure) and then eventually make the bottom part wider if needed. And make the straps longer!

Flat felling

Dug out one antique presser foot and put it on my modern sewing machine (after having unscrewed off the "ankle" part of the snap on feet) and tried on flat felling and it went very well. Good!
4 mm wide. I wish to have wider too but this will work good for thin fabrics.

Workroom Högsbo

I have never posted a complete photo of my corner of the workroom, really the apartment's living room by original but I like it because of the light! Much better than previous workroom.

Högsbo is the name of the district we are living in now. A little closer to the center of the city, a little further from the ghetto we lived in. Calmer area, which I enjoy. This used to be a place where lots of senior citizens but I have noticed quite a big change in the demography since 5 years, much more people my age now. But no wonder, the seniors move away to better housing for their needs (with elevators to save their old legs, not walking up 3 storeys) or die, and the young people move in to the 50's area and 50's is awesome. At least I think so. ;) Of course many more prefer Majorna bordering to us with the wooden 3 story houses built 1890-1920 (old working class area)... But this is more me! (and the Majorna houses has been brutally renovated, think blowing out, late 70's so they have the ugly late 70's style on the inside)

What started as a simple pseudovictorian gown is starting to become quite complicated.... More details, more details! While the fabric is running out.

Yes this is my first sewing project at the new place. The lavender pillows were a mid project foray.

This is also an dress where you would say "please do not look at the inside"... hehe. a real mess since I wanted to line it - as afterthought, to make the fabric less transparent.
