Once again the symmetry has been ruined as this guard is looking off to his right. It makes you wonder what he was looking at.

I'm not sure why one of these Windsor Castle guards is messing up the nice symmetry. I don't know whether to photoshop him out or have him Court Marshalled ? You decide.

Wasn't going to upload this one as the guards foot was missing on the right hand side of the frame. Now it isn't. It just shows you the camera doesn't just lie, it can invent new realities (with the help of a PC, some photo-editing software and about 15 minutes).

This is the underside of one of the Evzones feet during their Changing of the Guard ceremony. From this it's easy to see why they make so much noise stomping about as they do.

This shot says as more about the quality of my camera than it does my photography skill. You only get a moment to compose and press the shutter, the camera does all the hard stuff.

(A little bit too close to the) Action shot. This was taken with a wideangle lense and I thought the soldiers swinging arm was going going to hit me.

Seconds after this the crowd closed up round the opening created for them to march through and I found myself at the back unable to get any decent pictures of the main event. This was just one example of how I know I'm never going to make it as a Paparazzi.

I hadn't appreciated just how busy with tourists the Changing of the Guard at Amelienborg Palace would be. I turned up about 15 minutes before it was due to start and the crowd was already several people deep. The ceremony goes on for a while though so my patience paid off as I managed to work my way to the front and get some good shots with my 300mm lens.
